Position Overview

We are a Northern Virginia and Washington, DC based nationwide handyman services company looking for a part-time, experienced Sales professional to help us returns calls and do some customer service telephone work.  This is a work-from-home position and just requires a telephone and computer with internet access to plug into our scheduling software. We are seeking a motivated, professional, gregarious, and experienced Sales Representative to join our nationally known handyman and lawn care services business. This is a 100% remote, commission-based position with unlimited income potential. The right candidate will thrive on building relationships, generating new business, and closing sales with both residential and commercial customers.

You will be responsible for sourcing your own leads while also working leads provided by the company. Sales are conducted during East Coast business hours (Monday–Friday), with flexibility in scheduling, though at least 2 hours per day must be dedicated to sales outreach.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned sales professional with knowledge of home services, construction, or lawn care who wants the freedom to work from anywhere while being part of a supportive and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate, qualify, and close new sales opportunities with residential and commercial customers.

  • Utilize both self-sourced leads and company-provided leads to build a strong sales pipeline.

  • Conduct sales calls, virtual meetings, and follow-ups during East Coast business hours.

  • Dedicate a minimum of 2 hours daily to outreach efforts (phone, email, networking, or virtual presentations).

  • Collaborate with our customer service team, office manager, and owner to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and excellent client satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and outcomes using company tools and processes.

  • Represent the company professionally, with strong communication skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in home services, construction, landscaping, or related fields.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport quickly with diverse customers.

  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a 100% remote role.

  • Tech-savvy and able to manage CRM systems, email, and virtual meeting platforms.

  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software is highly desired.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Comfortable working on a 100% commission basis with no base salary.

Compensation

  • Commission-only pay structure with unlimited income potential.

We offer services such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, furniture assembly, cabinet, door and window repair, light plumbing and electrical work.  

Our ideal candidate would work with our Office Manager (also working remotely) to ensure all incoming calls are returned and your daily sales calls made.  This would be a 1099, part time position.

We offer the use of professional call scripts, prior to commencing work and are a small family-owned company.  Authenticity and the ability to relate to and empathize with seniors and homeowners is a critical skill needed for success.  Home improvement skill not necessary, but helpful.
